BEHAVIORAL HEALTH

Everyone wants to lead active, productive lives and contribute to their communities. Goodwill helps people with disabilities or barriers such as mental illness and/or substance dependency to achieve their goals through a wide range of Behavioral Health Programs and Services that improve their quality of life.

CARFThe Behavioral Health Programs of Goodwill Industries of Greater Nebraska are funded by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services; Nebraska Vocational Rehabilitation Services; Region 2 Human Services; Region 3 Behavioral Health Services; and Public Support for Goodwill Industries. Goodwill staff members receive on-going professional development training.

 Goodwill offers a variety of programs to meet an individual's recovery needs experiencing a substance abuse dependency issue or a serious and persistent mental illness such as:

Schizophrenia/Schizoaffective Disorder
Bipolar Disorder
Major Depression

All Behavioral Health Services are voluntary and at no cost to the individual receiving services.

Programs Offered:

  • Day Services: Day Rehabilitation, Day Support, and Drop In Center

  • Community Support-Mental Health

  • Community Support-Substance Abuse

  • Emergency Community Support 

  • Housing and Homeless Services PATH (Projects for Assistance in Transitioning from Homelessness)
    The PATH program is designed to serve individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, and have a mental illness and possible co-occurring substance abuse diagnosis.  Goodwill provides case management services for more than 80 individuals and works with them to achieve the ultimate goal of safe and affordable housing.
