Your Donations to Goodwill, Make a Difference!
The support of Goodwill donors and shoppers have helped thousands of people. When you donate your used items to Goodwill's retail sotres, you support our mission by providing training and employment opportunties for people with disabilities throughout central and western Nebraska.
Goodwill stores also provide communities with an ever-changing stock of affordable clothing, furniture, accessories and household items.(Donations are tax-deductible.)
Tax Deductions:
Federal law permits Goodwill donors to claim tax deductions for many financial contributions and for donated clothing and household goods in good, used condition or better. If you're unsure whether your item qualifies for a tax deduction, then consider this: if you would give it to a relative or friend, then the item is most likely in good condition and is appropriate to donate.
The U.S. Internal Revenue Service requires donors to value their items. To help guide you, Goodwill Industries International has compiled a suggested list with price ranges for items commonly sold in Goodwill stores. See the valuation guide attachment located below for your convenience. Assume the items are in good condition, and remember - prices are only estamated values.
