DELL RECONNECT

Goodwill Industries of Greater Nebraska, Inc. and Dell recently entered an agreement in which Goodwill will be a donation site for the Reconnect computer recycling program, making it convenient for local households to drop off computers and related accessories for free, responsible recycling.
 
Goodwill Industries of Greater Nebraska joins more than 2,200 Reconnect collection sites across the United States and Canada. The sites are expected to divert approximately 5 million pounds of e-waste from landfills each year.
 
“The Reconnect program is currently offering work opportunities for five Goodwill employees who manage the recycling program,” said Kris Nolan Brown, CEO Goodwill Industries of Greater Nebraska, “Reconnect has allowed Goodwill to expand its recycling and environmentally-friendly practices.” Locally, this partnership will allow the public to drop off used computers for no-cost recycling at any of our Goodwill retail locations or the headquarters in Grand Island.  The program helps to support Goodwill’s job training programs.
